We built ourselves a prison with invisible walls
Go looking for them it's your own fault
Hard as you try you'll never forget them
Live in denial or they wont protect you
Crafted an empire unconciously
Out of greed prejudice and petty tyranny
Won't pretend its natural, there's better ways to be
That dont support themselves off of murder and greed

Justifying the crimes of bruised and battered egos
Or waste my time internalising their past mistakes
It's all we're supposed to know

I wont sit and take it


I won't ever trust them
Handing me a shirt and tie for all my dreams to rust in
Cos life's too short life's too short, to piss away
On a way of life so damaging
Obsessed with the threat of this debt we're managing

The odds are stacked against us
Competing for work that dont pay much
Or at all when it used to waged
Just piling more useless skills on our cvs
Begging and pleading for a foot in the door
Somewhere we never wanted to be
Lining up while they dole out more misery
