Rising Sun Songtext
von Cold Chisel

We′re gonna have a lotta fun tonight
We got Andy Bickers playin' the baritone sax
That can only mean one thing
We′re gonna play ya some rockabilly right now
(One, two, three)

She just jumped on a plane, paid no attention to me
Gave me no notice, but her goodbyes sure were sweet
Said she gonna write, maybe call me up
I checked her bags, and then she broke my heart
She kissed my cheek, told me not to keep in touch, yeah

I said, the Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl
I wanna catch a plane, to steal her back again
Rising Sun just stole my girl away

Now we're apart, I think about her every day
With the scuffle of little feet, runnin' ′round her head, now
I′m gettin' no cards, I′m gettin' no mail
Girl came on the telephone
If she don′t come home, I know just where I'm gonna go

I said the Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl away
The Rising Sun just stole my girl
I wanna catch a plane, to steal her back again
The Rising Sun just stole my girl away, yeah

And they′re buyin' our beaches, and sellin' transistors
The little folk look real big (good)
If they think that they can take her away
Steal her right back again, play that piano one time

And oh, you know what I like
Come on, Andy, play that sax one more time

I said, the Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl
I wanna catch a plane, and steal her back again
Rising Sun just stole my girl away, yeah

I said, the Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl away
Rising Sun just stole my girl
I wanna catch a plane, and steal her back again
Rising Sun just stole my girl away
I said, the Rising Sun just stole my girl away
I said, the Rising Sun stole my girl away
And that′s all she did
