My mother told me that I was alive
She said use your voice or I′ll give you mine
But her's has been lost for a long time
Muffled by the acted on years of her climb


My father told me that I could be strong
With the cuts on my wrist I knew he could be wrong
And then I knew I was in for the long
With a tag on my wrist where I shouldn′t belong

I don't belong

If only my father wasn't in my mind
And my mother could speak the tongue of her time
Oh these are the things that I wanted to find
But my brain is in motion and yours has declined
