Resistance defines shape

Contact leaves memory
In the material

He recognized the moment
It exceeded its purpose

When vigilance
Became dissolution
When defense
Demanded blood
It no longer needed

He calculated the cost
He sealed the gate

Hatred remained outside
Not defeated
Not absolved
Obsolete


What stands now
Was not erected for fury

The structure persists
After the fire
Has no assignment

Hatred was never the law
It was the catalyst

The fortress stands
And it does not
