Delirium Songtext
von C Duncan

Delirium Songtext

You sit inside an empty train
Waiting for the day to come
When you remember your own name
And how to spell delirium
And all the stars that you have seen
You could count on no fingers and no thumb

You come to time and out of place
And all the creases in your hands
Remind you of that worried face
And all the sleep you never had
And all the people swell with sadness
As they turn to look at you

Like the ordinary do

At times it feels like nothing will ever be like you want it to
At times it seems like nowhere will ever feel like it used to do
The world is swirling wildly but what can you do to hold it down?

Take all this madness away
There′s not a meaning to the way
You count the hours of the night
They lead to nothing but regret
For all the fears that you've incited
And all the sirens you have seen
You recall with a trembling tired eye

You drift in silence through the dark
There′s not a bed where you have lain
And all the sentiment you crave
The months of anguish or the pain
And all the weary twilight travelers
Hide their tears as they walk by

But to know somebody ought to be known
Is an arduous feat of its own
But delirium could be the someone
That you're waiting for

At times it feels like nothing will ever be like you want it to
At times it seems like nowhere will ever feel like it used to do
The world is swirling wildly but what can you do to hold it down?
Take all this madness away

Won't you take all this madness away?
