I greened out on Charlie′s couch
I swore I could hold my smoke
Woke up with cottonmouth
Stole a Coke and hit the road
Returned some missed calls from my mama
"Called to see what's weighin′ on ya"
Rolled my eyes and said, "I'm fine"

Part of life is wasted time
Lately I've been wasting mine
Dirty clothes and bloodshot eyes
Ain′t as cool at 25
Need a shave, I need a shower
Clear the bills off of the counter
Get on out of my own way
Grow on past these growing pains
Think I need a normal day


I had a notion that these potions
Would help me quiet this commotion
Going on between my ears
Well, I′m more mixed up than ever
But I'm trying to get better
For the man I thought I′d be this time last year
