Looking out over Dun Laoghaire Bay
Watching the world we knew starting to melt away

It′s funny how quickly dreams start to fade
When you left from my life, I was no longer afraid
To think for myself and the plans that I made
So many years ago, that I have betrayed
How can I start over when the world is on fire
So many changes and hardships that are required
But a man can achieve, whatever he desires

Looking thru this empty apartment on Francis Street
Lost like a prisoner feels upon a twenty year release

I was sure that I would have to spend the rest of my days
Trapped in this nightmare, day and after day, without escape
But I took my life in my hands, and I started to reshape
The kind of life that I could possibly create

So I sailed away
Towards the setting sun
To find me a love, and life, a wife, a son
