Saint Louis Blues Songtext
von Bill Coleman

I hate to see the evening sun go down
I hate to see the evening sun go down
Because my baby, she has left this town
If I′m feeling tomorrow like I feel today
Say, feeling tomorrow like I feel today
I'll pack my bags and make my getaway

Old St. Louis woman wears a diamond ring
She leads her man around by every string
If it wasn′t for powder and store-bought hair
The girl I love wouldn't go nowhere, nowhere

I've got the St. Louis Blues, just as blue as I can be
That girl′s got a heart like a rock in the deep blue sea
Or else she wouldn′t go so far from me
I've got the St. Louis Blues, got the St. Louis Blues
I′ve got the St. Louis Blues, just as blue as I can be
That girl's got a heart like a rock in the deep blue sea
I′ve got the St. Louis Blues, got the St. Louis Blues
I've got the St. Louis Blues, just as blue as I can be
That girl′s got a heart like a rock in the deep blue sea
