Spring travels by steamboat
And it smirks and it grins
Behind a ridiculous mustache
Of brief gleaming gratitude
And cherry blossom branches


All this for it to make shadows
That dance and spin in morning sun
With its fingers and hands
Sharing the good news gospel everywhere

Love can be sometimes hard to believe
When it′s carried by a beam of blessed light
Reflected in an indian summer's face
Bright enough that there are no shadows
And my arms search for her lovingkindness
To hold on more time
