Midnight at the Observatory Songtext
Yo, give me a turn on the telescope
Live and learn, you can tell a dope
Who never coped with the co-ordinates
We drop most of the ordinates
Subordinates now all cower like to an emperor
Temper, temper, the new inventor
Creating a way to shape these fluid sentences
And I mention this as I take the piss like boozy apprentices
But the flickering of the super rage speaks with moving embeddedness
And the bickering of these stupid apes keeps me up at night
Puppet fights with Iraqi dream strikes
But a civil war can′t make New Orleans right
Who's being quiet as we try the key to the observatory
And the garden′s dying so we're looking
To take fruit from the furthest tree Like a herculean effort with an Achilles tendon
I keep lives bending like fast bowlers backs
And like cats who can't hold a track
Now I′ve set up the eyepieces in the vernacular aperture for you
Please lean in close and observe this spectacular
Rapturous view captured by few
They′re coming in close to earth to help us innovate
And note how none of their fleets bear
Any resemblance to a dinner plate
Inner state goes untouched as outer space is getting bumrushed
As if they're trying to find an answer
To life, the universe and some such
It seems that every one of us at the end of the day need one crutch
But tell me this, if the truth is out there, why they watching us?
Trust us, you humanoid bipeds
Look homogenous through my tri-lens, or islands
Imprinted with fleshy circuits and dark sciences
Star alliance, you frequent flyers
Who′ve reached this higher state of transit
Understand we aspire to take the planet
Stay standing if you wish
Try to act as if I give a shit
I'm that space spanner that hit your dish
With a great span of listeners
All that′s missing is good distributors
In alternate universes uninhibited by the
Contractual limiter beyond the actual perimeter
It's an actual fact that factual acts you cannot take back
Though your motives might get lost
Like you dropped needles in a haystack
So payback is karmic
See Christian ride low on a five-o and stay liver than most, yo
Keep it bent like twisted pants on mystic chancellors
The answer is forty-two
More things to do before that big blue window of doom
Nature throw a control-alt-delete on you and you′re through
You're worm food, I can't remember if this home-brew
Moonshine should run clear or blue, so after you, dude
Inner space goes untouched as outer space is getting bumrushed
As if they′re trying to find an answer
To life, the universe and some such
It seems that every one of us at the end of the day need one crutch
But if the truth is really out there, tell me why they watching us?
Live and learn, you can tell a dope
