Falling up just seems a little bit easier
Than coming down right now
And falling up just seems like the less painful thing to do

My feet hit the ground right now
This might all be over for me too soon


And after flying around for a while
I decided it was time to turn around
And I saw buildings and danglin' birds
Backwards and trees hanging down
When my feet flipped back from over my head
Lord, I lost a shoe
It sure is nice sometimes to see things
From a different point of view

I decided it was time to come back down
My feet, they are tiptoed and they flip-flopped all the way
′Til I hit the ground
And then the wind, it caught me and it threw me into a running beat
And I flew far away as I could
Far away from these city streets


And after sitting back down for a while
I realized there must be more to it all
Living your whole life on the ground
Setting yourself up to fall
'Cause you can hear things up in the air
You never think to hear
It sure is nice sometimes to see things
