Trees Songtext

Trees Songtext
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree
Or tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth′s sweet flowing breast
Or tree that looks at God all day
And lifts leafy arms to pray
Or tree that may in summer weep
Nests of robins in a hedge
Or one whose bosom snail is laid
When to mint it lives with rage
Poems are made by fools like me
But only God can make a tree
But only God can make a tree
A poem lovely as a tree
Or tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth′s sweet flowing breast
Or tree that looks at God all day
Or tree that may in summer weep
Nests of robins in a hedge
Or one whose bosom snail is laid
When to mint it lives with rage
Poems are made by fools like me
But only God can make a tree
But only God can make a tree
