I stroll in a bar downtown to lose my blues
Rest my weary feet, dust my shoes

Walls made of paper, card false like the rest
Still the wine seemed real cheap
At one dollar a glass in nobody′s bar

Looking for somebody bad to make a stand

Endless faces now swimming around
Eyes without vision, ears without sound
To and fro they stand before me
A vision of heaven without Jesus there
Easy young woman got nothing to give
Only her body to bargain with
