Listen, my friends
To a tale old as time
It was painted by wind ′cross the starlit skies
Listen to whispers
Of bracken and moss
Through the mists and the stillness of night

A long time ago
When our world was still young
Caught in tormenting throes of a dawning time
In this turbulent era
Of brimstone and flame
She was born to the light of new day

Her first breath was life
Her touch was creation
It turned desolation to greenest grass
With blossoms unfurling
'Neath soles of her feet
She would bring forth the age of the spring

Come
Let your gaze now lead you to a place far away
Across the plains
Across the forests
To the edge of day
Here in this sacred grove she rests who gave us our lives
See once more her forgotten beauty through her sacrifice

Wherever she went
There was beauty and life
Herds of wondrous creatures would trail her step
To the ocean, the mountains
The plains and the sky
She would walk ′cross the world and beyond

Mankind rise
The world is ours for the taking
Empire in the making
Destroy
Devour all
To fuel our desire
To rise ever higher
Consume
Now

You are blind
Your path leads to ruin
Heed my warning
Change your ways

Mankind rise
Cut down and slaughter
Nature is nothing but fuel
Destroy them all
The weak and the lesser
Nothing will stop us
Crush the world

Bring destruction, bring extinction, nature falters, crush the world!

Oh my dearest, foolish children, look what you have done
You've wounded me, but destroyed yourselves, this cannot be undone
Yet there's hope in my love for you
But it comes with a terrible price
Learn from it, oh my dearest children, from my sacrifice!

Death will cleanse you of greed and wrath
As I will wither away
In hope you will look for a better path
With you in your heart I shall stay

Come
Let your gaze now lead you to a place far away
Across the plains, across the forests, to the edge of day
Here in this sacred grove I rest who gave you your lives
See once more the forgotten beauty through my sacrifice
