Solstice 2016 Songtext
von Zach Gill

It was the solstice
It was a nice day
Felt like the sun′s rays
Were shining from above
It was the solstice
Two thousand sixteen
Felt like I was sixteen
And in love
She was my wifey
Moving like Shakira
Told me to come nearer
We started to dance
It was the solstice
Two thousand sixteen
Still in a sweet dream
Of romance
Well, your heart's gonna do just exactly what it′s got to do
You get a say in the matter but I wouldn't say we get to choose
So call it synchronicity or call it fate
Or destiny or call it just letting go

But your heart's gonna do just exactly what it′s got to do
It gets confusing
Out there in the wild
Forgetting how to smile
When the news is so bad
And when your heart falls
Down into the darkness
The world is looking heartless
Broken and sad
Well, your heart′s gonna do just exactly what it's got to do
We get a say in the matter but sometimes you′re gonna be confused
So call it synchronicity or call it fate
Or destiny or call it just letting go
But your heart's gonna do just exactly what it′s got to do
So many big things
That we don't know
And that we probably won′t know
In this life
So many questions
So many queries
Won't be wrapped up neatly
But that's alright
′Cause what I do know
Is that I love you and in this moment
That′s enough
So happy solstice
Happy summer
Here's to lovers
Still in love
Well, your heart′s gonna do just exactly what it's got to do
We get a say in the matter but I wouldn′t say we get to choose
So call it synchronicity or call it fate
Or destiny or call it just letting go
Call it synchronicity or call it fate
Or destiny or call it just letting go
Call it synchronicity or call it kismet
Energy or call it just letting go
But your heart's gonna do just exactly what it′s got to do
