Class War Songtext

Three friends, Nadya, Leila Khaled and Mary J
Were sitting, talking and drinking outside a cafe
"So Mary," said Nadya, "you′re unemployed again"
"Yea," said Mary, "I had to quit before I went insane,
I don't think I′m cut out for it,
Can't seem to avoid the bullshit"

Class War

"So," Mary said, "I'm nearly broke and there′s no money in sight,
And I reckon my job situation is as usual tight,
With the credentials this boss′ gonna give"
"A boss always trusts a boss," Leila said, "that's their prerogative.
You can be proud of yourself, girl
Standing up for yourself, girl"

Class War

"Hows work, Nadya," Leila asked, Nadya just shook her head
"Same same, underpaid, short staffed, stupid management"
"How do you cope?" asked Leila, "me, i wouldn′t last a day"
"Sometimes I wonder myself," she said, "but there's bills to pay.
I′m still amazed of my colleagues',
Undying fear of authorities"

Class War

Women, non-white, workers, the triple oppressed
We stand divided in the ruling class′ best interest
Women, non-white, workers, the triple oppressed
We stand divided in the ruling class' best interest

Nadya asked "Leila, you still do hours at the docks?"
"Yea," said Leila, "it suits me fine, I hate steady jobs.
I remember a place with the trouble Mary J was in
It was either walk right off or go workplace killing,
Guess I still there for a time,
Went a little out of my mind"
