Some More Songtext

Some More Songtext
Bright and charismatic, the envy of his peers
Miguel an only child, wise beyond his years
Learning about history, his interest starts to grow
His eagerness to understand, there is so much to know
One topic, caught his heart, something was awfully wrong
One people, bent to stop, the Jewish People′s song
Why did the Germans hate them so, he asked his Dad one night
Dad brushed him off, time and again, gave no answer that seemed right
There's a Guiding Hand, which runs the show – the world is run so well
What results, will our actions bring, no human can tell
But we know it′s true, that Hashem will pay – measure for measure
If we always work to choose what's right
We may end up with a treasure
Searching, in the attic, on a cold and snowy day
He comes across, the documents, to his utter dismay
Turns out his Dad, worked in the camps, responsible for them
Miguel fled the house, ill at heart, with no plans to meet again
The Holy Land, was his next stop, he would learn the answers there
Immersed himself, in Yiddishkeit, his decision was soon clear
He joined the Promised People, then soon he met his wife
And together with their 3 kids, for Hashem they lived their lives
The message, came one day, your father's gravely ill
Please Miguel, come to visit, is Daddy′s dying will
Dad is quite shocked, as Moshe comes, ′cuz the grandkids came along
Three little Yidden, making sure, to sing the Jewish song
Father, you must tell me, how can this all be
The life you chose, to kill them out, yet it's clear to see
Your bloodline will continue, ironically - through them
What good deed did you do, what merit from way back when?
Father murmurs, I′ll tell you why, your words are surely true
It was during a round-up, I remember it well, in 1942
We gathered them all, shipped them out, except three little ones
I told that trio "run from here", now my pity brought me sons!
Dad that's the truth, it′s very clear to me
Your grandsons are, a payment for, letting those 3 Jews free
No good deed is forgotten, even amidst bad deeds galore
If only you would've saved some others – you would have had some more!
