Silent he roamed on the woodland
Under the weighted shroud of ignorance
Afraid to whisper of dark times ahead
He could feel the weight of the clouds
With the weight of his thoughts
Tripping forward, forlorn and lost
Bloodless wings in tow
Like a rope upon his shoulders
He drags the hour of the world closing in
Walking ever softly through the abysmal mist


He saw a silhouette of true horror
He heard the growl, he felt the hunger
Grasped his sword, ignored the fear
Charging against the foe, the silent guard
Felt his wound in the form of the beast
The wolf howled in pain, the blade pierced his skull
Through the eye, death creeping near
Bloodless wings in tow
Like a rope upon his shoulders
