I left town and wandered round
Down past the pearly gate
I took a spell behind a well
And when I did awake

Would you believe it
The sky turned green
And a crown upon my head

There she was
No beauty lost
The lady Winifred

Holly red hair
With an emerald stare
She gazed into her well


Lost in the depths
We watched her death
How the images did swell

Hard to believe that heaven′s door
Is waiting on the other side
Oh how could it be
On an endless island
Beyond the sky

I took a walk and lost my dog
And soon was lost the same
Oh there he roams
By the old tombstones
The walls of Winnie's grave

Out on the island
Watching the lights
Perhaps she′s dreaming on


A portal through
The sky of blue
A traveling light at dawn
