I'd write about the length of your hair
How I find them in the clothes I used to wear

But this is not a love song
And I′m not going to write one
But if I did
I'd try to convey that in a hundred thousand years
No matter what I say
Or what you hear
I will love you
And that on the day you die

I wanna be right there by your side
But just like contemplating your eventual death
This is all just a thought experiment
'Cause what if something goes wrong


What if
For whatever reason
We fall out of love
Then what would this song even be
A poorly framed shot of a moment in history
And I′ll have signed up to watch someone die
That I′m not sure I wanna watch die

But love is powerful and what makes life tolerable
I hope someday I manage to change my mind
Hypothetically obviously
I'm not gonna change my mind

It would probably end up sounding a lot like this one
So don't quote me on this
In however much time

But this is not a love song
