Trinity Songtext

Trinity Songtext
It′s a cold world, but it's a world that I love
I′d be bored and braindead without the push and the shove
Without a dude up in my mug like "Pay this bill"
I'd have nothing to rap about, if you haters chilled
No I feel, I've been given no proof of an afterlife
That′s why I′m shit scared to wrap my bike
Cause it's like, I don′t fear death, I fear not living
Even worse I fear doing nothing with time given
I'm thinking I got faith, but mine ain′t blind
Mine's based on experience over time
I was baptized, but won′t tow the party line
They say it's truth, but the proof is hard to find
With a dude up in my face like "I seen the sign"
I'm like "That′s great, where the fuck is mine?"
How′d I know you're not psycho, or straight up lying
The hardest thing is telling my mother that I ain′t blind
It's like my own personal search for the Holy Grail
Tried to find faith, but went to the well with a hole in my pail
My soul isn′t frail, nor does it need redemption
It's heat in ascension, searching for meaning till I receive a pension
I read a passage or two, but it ain′t convince me
God, I need some kind of sign there's a heaven and if it fits me
I'm 60/40 in your favor, but Lord Savior ain′t an easy con
Skeptical, but still I′m trying to see beyond
See I need something I can touch and feel
Cause man to me it ain't enough to have a hunch that it′s real
Happy for those who travel blindly and know your faith is a blessing
Sometimes I wish it wasn't in my nature to question
Cause there are times in life when there are holes in the plan
And it would be kind of nice if you could roll with my clan
But you can keep the man with the collar
Cause we don′t need a chaperone
Let's do this alone, if you hear me then holler
Now honestly, it′s not like I haven't examined my options
Born and bred, but never force fed my problems
I've lost something commonly known as faith
I don′t care if I would die, I wanna see your face
To look you in the eye and understand why you create
Only to destroy precious things you make
This human race feels like a collection of slaves
Free will imposed, hell for those that misbehave
I gotta say it seems a tad extreme
I didn′t forsake paradise, remember it was Eve
I'm confused, why is narrow the gate
You′re not someone to accept, he's someone to escape
It′s hard to take, you're this loving creature
That chose to make living for you against my nature
I hate to ask, but do you mind my expression
Cause I can′t serve you again till I've asked these questions
I′d be bored and braindead without the push and the shove
Without a dude up in my mug like "Pay this bill"
I'd have nothing to rap about, if you haters chilled
No I feel, I've been given no proof of an afterlife
