Old Train Songtext

Old Train Songtext
There′s an old man
Cutting through the land
In a slow lane old train
Seeing two things
In the windowpane
Of that steamboat old train
See the outside
Such a pretty sight
Dusk is falling, falling
See the inside
It's reflecting back
Now he can′t hide, old rag
Though he's sitting rather lonesome
There's somebody in the glass
And she′s smiling at him hiding
Now he′s crying, smiling back
As by magic
That train took to flight
And it sailed north through the night
As the darkness
Wrapped around the sky
The reflection came alive
There were fireworks
In the northern lights
They were dancing like a kite
At the last stop
They came tumbling down
Four fine feet placed on the ground
Cutting through the land
In a slow lane old train
Seeing two things
In the windowpane
Of that steamboat old train
See the outside
Such a pretty sight
Dusk is falling, falling
See the inside
It's reflecting back
Now he can′t hide, old rag
Though he's sitting rather lonesome
There's somebody in the glass
And she′s smiling at him hiding
Now he′s crying, smiling back
As by magic
That train took to flight
And it sailed north through the night
As the darkness
Wrapped around the sky
The reflection came alive
There were fireworks
In the northern lights
They were dancing like a kite
At the last stop
They came tumbling down
Four fine feet placed on the ground
