1.Hear the sirens moaning "All Aboard"
See the streamers flowing, just like her tears Oh Lord!
Just like a Sunday movie, you′ve seen a thousand times
But when it's your tun to play that part, still you forget your lines.

2.Railway carriage, you shunt and shake
As you follow the leader, no decisions to make
Meanwhile you run alongside the platform,
You wave, you brush something from your eye
And you say all kind of things that you don't mean,
You say things like "Goodbye...

Bridge: But he just wants to reach out and touch the stars
He wants to be the captain of his own fate
He′s thrown away all those lucky charms
He knows he has to get out... and make that break.

3.And so that plane taxis out towards the runway
And though you haven′t gone, soon you'll be on your way
