Endless Songtext
von Warwick Kennedy
Endless Songtext
I′ve got a notion
That this ain't all there is
To this quick step routine
I′m somehow engaged in
Despite the tune
A song stuck in rotation
A coin forever tossed
Feigned perpetual motion
Dancers suspend in air
But I can see those wires
I know they all need to breath
But its all out of synch
Tighten those wires
Till there's nothing but silence
And is that all there is?
The same old canvas, stretched hopelessly thin?
It's the blanket of all encompassing nothing
And tucked snugly in, is a sane man losing sleep
Every time we breathe life into this endless routine
And I don′t blame him for cursing the layman
And spitting sand in our eyes
I know you all need to breathe
But it′s really messing up my sleep
Why did I make my bed
In this diminishing inlet?
I adore my friends, I can feel the tide coming in
It's up to our necks
You know it′s easy breathing from this point onwards
That this ain't all there is
To this quick step routine
I′m somehow engaged in
Despite the tune
A song stuck in rotation
A coin forever tossed
Feigned perpetual motion
Dancers suspend in air
But I can see those wires
I know they all need to breath
But its all out of synch
Tighten those wires
Till there's nothing but silence
And is that all there is?
The same old canvas, stretched hopelessly thin?
It's the blanket of all encompassing nothing
And tucked snugly in, is a sane man losing sleep
Every time we breathe life into this endless routine
And I don′t blame him for cursing the layman
And spitting sand in our eyes
I know you all need to breathe
But it′s really messing up my sleep
Why did I make my bed
In this diminishing inlet?
I adore my friends, I can feel the tide coming in
It's up to our necks
You know it′s easy breathing from this point onwards
