I Forgot Songtext
von VINCINT

"I recall, you would lie, telling me you′re busy
You recall, I would cry, cause you came here with me
And the distance only works if we commit to holding on

It's hard to believe that it was but it wasn′t
And you said that tough love is better than nothing
I let you get by with so much that the old me just wouldn't put up with

I forgot I was me until right now
Forgot I'm a diamond in the crowd
You forget how to sing when the noise gets too loud
So I′m turning me up, and I′m turning you down
(I forgot I was) (diamond in the) (diamond in) ... (In the) (Diamond)...

Saw you texting your ex like I wouldn't notice
When I asked what he said, don′t know where your phone is
Must be sad to be the only one still clearly holding on

It's hard to believe that it was but it wasn′t
And you said that tough love ain't better than nothing
I let you get by with so much that the old me just wouldn′t put up

I forgot I was me until right now
Forgot I'm a diamond in the crowd
You forget how to sing when the noise gets too loud
So I'm turning me up, and I′m turning you down
I forgot I was (diamond in the) (diamond in) ... (In the)

It′s hard to believe that it was but it wasn't
I know it, tough love ain′t better than nothing
Let you get by with so much that the old me just wouldn't put up

I forgot I was me until right now
Forgot I′m a diamond in the crowd
You forget how to sing when the noise gets too loud
So I'm turning me up, and I′m turning you down
I forgot I was me
