These Are the Questions Songtext

These Are the Questions Songtext
Who is the one to be given the chore
Of drawing the line of mapping the shore?
Who is the one to be given the say
Of setting procedure when time comes to pray?
Where in the book did it say build a wall?
Can what′s good for the one be good for us all?
When will the challenge to love one another
Be given its due from brother to brother?
How can it be that these times of despair
Seem to bring out so few who can say that they care?
And these are the questions that ring in my ears
Cause me to worry and add to my fears
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
These are the questions that challenge my heart
Cause me to wonder and tear me apart
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
Why do we find it so hard to believe
When it's only through grace we continue to breathe?
Why can′t we see that it's so very sad
When one color is good and another is bad?
What will the children grow up to relate
If war is the game they remember to play?
When will we learn to put love in control
And allow Him the freedom to work in our souls?
How can it be that these times of despair
Seem to bring out so few who say that they care?
And these are the questions that ring in my ears
Cause me to worry and add to my fears
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
These are the questions that challenge my heart
Cause me to wonder and tear me apart
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
How is it so many don't have a bed
And so many more still need to be fed?
Why is it those with the power to lead
Are wrapped up in matters of money and greed?
These are the questions that ring in my ears
Cause me to worry and add to my fears
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
These are the questions that challenge my heart
Cause me to wonder and tear me apart
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear our cry?
Is someone listening?
Does anyone hear?
Is someone listening?
