I just keep wondering what I means to be alive
Truly alive
A puppet with no strings
It just fills with air
After every broken promise is heard

We heard this for free

I am flesh now still human made
They appear within in the lamplight
They call themselves hatred curse and her
One for my hands my legs my throat
They say 3 is the luckiest number
And yet all I do is choke

From pipes stuck down deep in my lungs
Memories of strings play as my eyes close


I keep wondering how to get them off my flesh
I rip out the tendon though the pain is not fresh
I am finally free
The disbelief will fade
