I am the arbitrator

I am the ego, protector of your fragility
Bringer of adulation, shield from all hostility
I am reality, truth bears no relevance
But what of the ego?
It matters not
In my presence

For I am the one who decides what's real
And if truth comes before me, it shall still remain concealed

I am perception, born of your desire
With a spear in truth′s side, I set your truth on fire
No tears, only a grin from eye to eye
