Just simple flesh and bone

Deciding on the future known
As every willing mortal contracted to the grave
Will sacrifice their life to be enslaved

Endless noise til time is done
A narcissistic Babylon
Blank expressions lost beyond
A wall of screens that

Pacify, yet sell a lie
Devices on in efforts to engage
I wonder why I′m seeing blind
Am I just not a number in a cage

A solitary sun that burns


Eternally connected in virtual defeat
Engrossed by almost nothing
In a world of value incomplete
The mind is ever hungry
For superficial fare
Denied the pixels, then you see despair

New goliaths scream and shout
These non authentic
Guttermouth's will have their say
As empty as the heads that turn their way
Reverberating parasites
That manifest solution for the age

I wanna be the one
I gotta be the one
Now the moment′s come
A brand new dawn

Am I a robot compliant in human skin?
Among the masses not defiant just obey to win
Who are we to question what they say?
They're on the prowl
Beware the signs of all the satellites
A termination of the freedom that you had before
The lights and sirens found your hiding place

Another modern diatribe
The critics like to shout and wail
I'm heading off the radar
Off grid for peace of mind
