The Never Rested Songtext
von Truth Be Known

We spend our lives counting the lies
That failed to bind
Failing us down
We used to build tomorrow
Remind our doom, face the night

The fruit of my labor shall be sweet
The sweat of my brow shall wash me clean
Sweet talk can last forever
But we will not until the end

Sleep comes slow to the never rested
Eyes that know not bed embrace
Tired of reaching out and holding on
Tired of the wasted days
Of screaming out to no one
So sick of no one screaming back
Burnt from all the days that sickered me
There′s no way I can turn back

I bow to my name
Open palms that face the sky
Leaning out for sweet redemption
Never wanting to look away

The fruit of my labor shall be sweet
The sweat of my brow shall wash me clean
Sweet talk can last forever
But we will not until the end

Resurrected
I pray for the grave to be washed out
The courage to stand as the tears fall down my face
My frustration cannot buy
I will stand till my heart stops and lifeblood fails me
No room for the hope that makes me whole
Resurrected
