Truck Named Purgatory Songtext

Truck Named Purgatory Songtext
I pulled out of Knoxville in a cloud of smoke
Blowin′ scales left lane, rolling coal
Pointed that rig out there, where the wild-wild-west was won
Turned a three-day trail full of sleet and hail
And a thunderstorm into one
That's just the way us outlaws like to run
Faster than a speeding bullet
Strong like superman
Rollin′ like a locomotive
Haulin' ass all-across this land
Some day when I'm in that grave
There′s gonna be one helluva story
About a country singing truck-driving man
And his truck named Purgatory
Those Santa Anna winds couldn′t slow me down
Still shook off my load out in Shaky Town
Grabbed a load of California grapes picked fresh from the vine
To keep the rich folks sippin' and the wine-o′s kickin'
And girls pretty at closing time
Got to hammer down and let these big wheels whine
Faster than a speeding bullet
Strong like superman
Rollin′ like a locomotive
Haulin' ass all-across this land
Some day when I′m in that grave
There's gonna be one helluva story
About a country singing truck-driving man
And his truck named Purgatory
This could be heaven or hell
With all this black smoke it's gettin′ hard to tell
Faster than a speeding bullet
Strong like superman
Rollin′ like a locomotive
Haulin' ass all-across this land
Some day when I′m in that grave
There's gonna be one helluva story
About a country singing truck-driving man
And his truck named Purgatory
Yeah, truck named Purgatory
Blowin′ scales left lane, rolling coal
Pointed that rig out there, where the wild-wild-west was won
Turned a three-day trail full of sleet and hail
And a thunderstorm into one
That's just the way us outlaws like to run
