Broken Maps Songtext

Broken Maps Songtext

Highway lines and empty signs
Every turn another goodbye
I′ve been tracing different roads
Different hearts different codes
Every town the same motel
Every promise broke like hell
Pictures fade inside my phone
Faces blur I'm still alone

Every night I told myself
Love is somewhere down this trail
Every mile another scar
Still I drive with who we are
No direction no control
Just a fire inside my soul

Broken maps and open highways
I′m still chasing better days
Every wrong turn every flame
Leads me closer to her name
Broken maps but I'm not done
I still run into the sun
Through the pain through the past
I will find my home at last

Cheap bar lights and neon rain
Someone whispers stay again
For a moment it feels right
Then it disappears by night
I don't blame the hearts that go
I was never built for slow
There′s a voice I can′t ignore
Calling from forevermore

Every mile another scar
Still I drive with who we are
No direction no control
Just a fire inside my soul

Broken maps and open highways
I'm still chasing better days
Every wrong turn every flame
Leads me closer to her name
Broken maps but I′m not done
I still run into the sun
Through the pain through the past
I will find my home at last

Maybe she's a late night station
Maybe she′s my destination
Maybe all this time I roam
Is just the road that takes me home

Broken maps and open highways
Now I see the better days
Every long night every flame
Was a step toward her name
Broken maps now in my hand
Lead me to the promised land
Through the pain through the past
I will find her heart at last

Broken maps
Guide me home
