Leave the Tab Open Songtext
von Tim Hicks

It′s been too long since we drank from the top shelf (top shelf)
So, man, leave that bottle, I'll pour ′em up myself (myself)
Yeah, this one's on me, and this night, it ain't endin′
′Til the chairs are up and they're playin′ that semisonic song

Gonna leave the tab open, stay up all night
Keep the draught taps all flowin'
Right down to the last drop
′Til they turn them lights off
Last call is called, and this bar is closin'
Gonna leave the tab open, yeah

I send them girls some shots of that Jim Beam
And tell ′em it came from the boys and me, "Hey, girl"
Sеnd a round to the band, get a cold one in еveryone's hand
'Til they sweep the floor, lock the front door
And kick us out the back, yeah

Gonna leave the tab open, stay up all night
Keep the draught taps all flowin′
Right down to the last drop
′Til they turn them lights off
Last call is called, and this bar is closin'
Gonna leave the tab open, yeah
I′m gonna leave the tab open, yeah

This one's on me, and this night, it ain′t endin'
′Til the chairs are up and they're playin' that semisonic song

I′m gonna leave the tab open, stay up all night
Keep the draught taps all flowin′
Right down to the last drop
'Til they turn them lights off
Last call is called, and this bar is closin′
Gonna leave the tab open, yeah
Gonna leave the tab open, yeah

Gonna leave the tab open
Gonna leave the tab open (we can't stay here)
