Together They Fly Songtext

With the queen by his hand
With justice and peace
The king ruled his land
Held in high esteem
In hubris, in mirth
Radiant beauty, as the Gods′
Their love was like a curse
A divine revenge was sought

Daughter of the wind
Son of the morning star
A queen and a mortal king
Together they are

In mourn of his kin
Answers he will seek
The queen urged the king
To bring her along the seas
In despair and sorrow
With tears in her eyes
Her heart felt hollow
As he escaped the horizon

Daughter of the wind
Son of the morning star
A queen and a mortal king
Together they were

Out on the sea
The king was frail
A storm he shall see
Revenge was on his trail
The storm crushed the ship
Embraced by raging waves
The morning star stood by
To watch his offspring die
With the last breath
He prayed to the sea
To take his body ashore
To be united with his queen once more

Unaware, she prayed
For her king's return
Remorse turned from hand to hand
′Til it reached a metamorphic man
Within a dreadful dream
The truth to her revealed
In despair she rushed to the sea
Where she found the body of her king

The king was buried
Orations delivered
She drowned herself in the sea
As her heart was broken

The queen and the mortal king
Were given life and wings
By the monarch of the pantheon
To atone for his actions

Daughter of the wind
Son of the morning star
A queen and a mortal king
Together they fly
They fly
Together they fly

For a few weeks of peace
Her father calmed the winds
On the shore there was calm
Together they lived on
