This Forgotten Town Songtext
von Thunder

Father′s gone crazy
He stares out the window all day
Watching the same streets
Where once as a kid he would play

There's no hope in his eyes anymore
And he′s forgotten what he was hoping for
And the postman walks straight past the door
There's no news today

Someone save me from this forgotten town
Or I'll go crazy in this forgotten town
′Cause when they lay me down
It won′t be here
Mmm
It won't be here

Mother′s been drinking
She smokes nearly three packs a day
Once she was so pretty
But time's taken it all away

Every promise she heard was a lie
About the future, how it would be right
And I won′t understand all my life
How she gets through the day

'Cause there′s no way out of this forgotten town
So you live your life out in this forgotten town
The only way is down
When dreams don't come true
No, not for you now
No, no

There's no hope in his eyes anymore
And he′s forgotten what he was hoping for
And the postman walks straight past the door
There′s no news today

Someone save me from this forgotten town (Somebody save me)
Or I'll go crazy in this forgotten town
There ain′t no way out, there ain't no way out)
There′s no way out of this forgotten town
You'll be dead in a hurry, don′t you know?)
So you live your life out in this forgotten town
Until you're in the ground
That's all you can do
That′s all you can do now
No, no
