Freedom Song Songtext
von Third World

Who put the hammer and the hole in the hands of the poor?
Why, tell me why, must the rich man keep craving for more and more?
Because we ain′t got no freedom
The L.Z. buck keeps riding on and on
Some of us ain't got no freedom

Oh, can you hear?
Can you hear those people howling on and on?
Ooh, it sounds like a song

When, tell me when, when will they leave us alone?
Some of us ain′t got no freedom
The L.Z. buck keeps riding on
Some of us ain't got no freedom
That's why we′re singing the freedom song
That′s why we're singing the freedom song
Because some of us ain′t got no freedom
The L.Z. buck keeps riding on and on
Some of us ain't got no freedom

Who put the hammer and the hole in the hands of the poor?
Why, tell me why, must the rich man keep craving for more and more?
Because we ain′t got no freedom
The L.Z. buck keeps riding on and on
Some of us ain't got no freedom

That′s why we're singing the freedom song
That's why we′re singing the freedom song
