Not a hint or tell
From that sculpted face
Nor that ancient grin
Fingers almost bone
From the depths
Of the maw right below
Partially digested
All but invested
In letting the powers win this time around
I am reminded
Of an old verse


A cape that engulfs
Hides the secret there
Open wide you devil
Your jaws that ensnare
Pushed from the bowels
Or claw out with pride
Either which way
Spend moments inside
Drenched in it′s juices
That eat at my skin
Pale compared to
The pain found within
Alone with myself
Yet all I conceal
Parts of my nature
I refuse to be real
Once I escape
There still remains
Filth I am soaked in
That hangs me in chains
Mask and the cape
Disappear out of sight
My rest now begins
I flee to the night
The best is behind me
What vades me is worse
Alone in the time
That flaw wasn't first
A game of a lifetime
Old plays repeated
Yet for now I can cry
Devilmask is defeated
