I gaze at my surroundings and settle on this tree
The fruit, it gleams, the leaves, they seem to call out loud to me

Curiosity becomes a craving
Built by hesitation with time spent on a fleeting feeling
Whim becomes fixation, a dangerous game to play
To entertain temptation and speak the words we long to say
I bit into the apple knowing full well what it meant
I know the story, ignored the warning, and still I don′t repent
Now should I feel guilty for a choice I made for love?
If judgment's owed me, well it won't be coming from below or above
