Radio Songtext

If the songs on the radio
Sound so old to you
Get your hands out the jigsaws
Turn off the radio
And write about truth
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
I′m no poet
Because the eyes in my head, well they don't seem to see
What a poet sees, and I cannot write poetry
And I′ve no scars
Because the marks on my head, well they never did bleed
But you don't need to bleed to be down on your knees
Begging for the one you need
I need songs
To help me forget you
Help me to get through
And do the things that I need to do

But the songs sound so wrong
They go on too long
Singing about things that I don't belong to
If the songs on the radio
Sound so old to you
Get your hands out the jigsaws
Turn off the radio
And write about truth
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
I need songs
To help me forget you
Help me to get through
And do the things that I need to do
But the songs sound so wrong
They go on too long
Singing about things that I don′t belong to
If the songs on the radio
Sound so old to you
Get your hands out the jigsaws
Turn off the radio
And write about
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
Life and love and passion and soul
Black holes that dull and the lull of the dull old radio
