Can′t you tell your reflection is ruining everyone's afternoon?
And I′m taking a set of pictures
They're just boring reminders of faces I've outgrown

Take a second, crack a smile, out of style
Irony and apathy will get the best of me
I know I′m too old for this
It′s colder inside than it is in this city
But I know nothing changes so easily
I'm going back one or two more times
Not knowing what you′ll say or what I'll find


They turned off all the bars
Leaving life for sidewalks and empty cars
And I know you said you like this town
But Syracuse is closing down
Would you have it any other way?
Would you take it away?

I have to tell you something
I′m usually not this blunt and you should brace yourself
This is a waste of paper and ink
And your friends out of state aren't missing a thing
So despite what you think
The bad taste is out there
I′m overbooked but you're over it
