In the moonlit elementary parking lot I saw my shadow glowing on the sidewalk
And someone was crying out
I heard it, I heard the sound
Of music coming from the street
And I followed it into the heat


I saw the mourners in a procession below the cross
The song was beautiful, it was a song about loss
And everything you said was true
Last night when I spoke to you
That music is everywhere
That it floats around in the air
And we're so silly and we don′t know what to do with it
And this happiness that just will not quit
It's a hollow, but nothing will fit inside it
