Big and Tall Songtext

Big and Tall Songtext

At my height, you′d think I'd find
The humor in the irony
I′m bad at math and my clothes don't match
I'm worried the joke might be on me
To tower behind the counter
For sixteen-fifty an hour
With Rum and Coke in my coffee cup
I need something else to cleanse my palate

I′m looking for something more
Now please excuse me while I do my chores
So sit tight, just wait
I′m at your beck and call
'Til I′m off at five at the big and tall

I've been sleeping so soundly
For eighteen hours a day
I can dream of something bigger than me
But I′ll future trip while I'm awake
I′m so proud of all I'll accomplish
I wouldn't know where to begin
So confident in my confidence
I know I can wait a little bit

No plans that I am looking towards
I′ll meet you in thirty at the liquor store
So sit tight, just wait
I′m hiding in the bathroom stall
'Til I′m off at five at the big and tall

I am trailed around the store
By a silver thread tied to the horns
Growing out of my head
I forget that it's there
′Til I trip going down the stairs
