Particle Board Songtext

Particle Board Songtext
Just another day at the woodmill last Summer
Made heavy remains of an oak tree to lumber
Heaving the limbs on forward
Their new lives combined to new particle board
For a new structure uptown
Where two human beings had impossibly found
Each other and this large wooden building for cover
If those walls could talk, they′d scream
And their love learned to walk safely inside of the beams
They worked, they grew, they thrived
They lived, they loved, they died
Autopsy explained that smoke inhalation
Had peacefully swept them to couples extinction
While drunkenly dreaming together that night
Holding each other and wiring might-
Have been the sole cause of that fire that took them
And burned every wink of carpentry completely
All but some concrete, two bodies, wood beams
And scraps of remains for my Woodmill's likings
For new soulmate blessed particle board
For a new home a mile down the road
Structure compliant to every electric and safety code
Where two human beings will call it their first home
But underneath their welcome mat
Remains two needles from haystacks
Bound together for good
Forever tethered through plywood
And in the middle of the night
If you listen just right
You can hear lives in those walls
Spirits that forever stand tall
Made heavy remains of an oak tree to lumber
Heaving the limbs on forward
Their new lives combined to new particle board
For a new structure uptown
Where two human beings had impossibly found
Each other and this large wooden building for cover
If those walls could talk, they′d scream
And their love learned to walk safely inside of the beams
They worked, they grew, they thrived
They lived, they loved, they died
Autopsy explained that smoke inhalation
Had peacefully swept them to couples extinction
While drunkenly dreaming together that night
Holding each other and wiring might-
Have been the sole cause of that fire that took them
And burned every wink of carpentry completely
All but some concrete, two bodies, wood beams
And scraps of remains for my Woodmill's likings
For new soulmate blessed particle board
For a new home a mile down the road
Structure compliant to every electric and safety code
Where two human beings will call it their first home
But underneath their welcome mat
Remains two needles from haystacks
Bound together for good
Forever tethered through plywood
And in the middle of the night
If you listen just right
You can hear lives in those walls
Spirits that forever stand tall
