Great Mistake Songtext
von The Friendly Indians

Great Mistake Songtext

Everybody tells me that you′re cold and insincere
And even though I'm listening, I only want you near
And all the things I′ve heard I tried never to believe
Circumstantial consequence never be retrieved

And now my better judgement tells me I'm misunderstood
Though, I tried to spite myself, it still does me no good
And each component piles on top of more than I can take
I'll just let you be my great mistake

And in-between the instances I′m trying to forget
I can stare you in the eyes and say I′ve no regrets
And if I'm so mistaken that′s what I'm consent to do
And I know that you can change if you ever wanted to

And now my better judgement tells me I′m misunderstood
Though, I tried to spite myself, it still does me no good
And each component piles on top of more than I can take
But I'll just let you be my great mistake

And if it is so obvious, it should between the two of us
I just hope that you trust me and be my great mistake
My great mistake

And everybody tells me that you′re cold and insincere
And even though I'm listening, I only want you nearer to me
