Intro Songtext

By late afternoon, hospitals in central London
Were dealing with a steady stream of casualties
Britain is now isolated, alienated, we are completely alone
I hope you′ll join me in expressing fear and selfishness
Yes, people do know where they stand with us
Yes, they do know we're stronger
We will embrace tyranny and death as a cause and a creed
The strikers, Scottish miners, reinforced by men from northeast
England and Yorkshire, withdrew, regrouped and counter-charged

I′m weak and materialistic
Later in the program, we'll be debating whether religion
Has become a force for good or evil in the world

Despite previously being adamant it wasn't a reason to go
Into war in Iraq, the federal government now says oil is
One of the reasons Australian troops are staying there

If you had known that that was the scale of
Bloodshed, would you have still gone to war?
We are not walking away

I am saddened that it is politically
Inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows
The Iraq war is largely about oil
And we have a great opportunity during this time of
War to lead the world towards suicide and murder

Fishing is hell, huh, we′re about out
Of ideas on this planet, aren′t we?
Get us out of the war, because the war is a total catastrophe
Get us out of Iraq, which is a total mess, a total catastrophe
And it's not gonna get any better, it′s only gonna get worse

Government is not the solution to our
Problem, government is the problem
We can be summed up in one word
