Don′t you hate when people ignore big issues that we call small
Those flaws that we wanna hide but it's killing us inside
We turn a blind eye to certain things, we make promises we cannot keep
The solutions that we don′t find to the problems that we deny


In the corner of my eye, I see it coming
Much to my surprise we're both still running
I don't know why it turned out this way
But I know that we′re on the periphery of awkwardness

Let′s talk hypothetically, you see a person that is in need
No food and no place to sleep, do you help them or do you leave?
Put yourself in that person's shoes, what if that certain someone was you?
Be sure to show some empathy before it′s gone to the periphery

We never wanna talk about it face to face, I know you know it ain't ever the time or place
Don′t matter what the reasons or the seasons, it's the same
It′s something we can all relate too
