Frankenstein Songtext

In Bavaria, on the dark and stormy night
The lightning cracks, and the torches all alight
The mad doctor threw the switch
And the assembled parts of man
Would begin to slightly twitch
And the dead would rise again
A child with a monster′s face
A mistook attack, the shackles clack
Locked up in the space
And they'd try to erase his scientific disgrace
But the monster′d break away and flee with mighty haste

He's not a dreadful monster
He's just misunderstood
Didn′t know he did bad
Didn′t know what was good
And by the time he would find a little piece of mind
The whole village behind, his death warrant was signed
The sad, sad lonely story of
Frankenstein

He stumbled on Maria, she just wanted to play
He picked up that little flower and he tossed her in the lake
(you're hurting me)
She would disappear and he would run away
Only to reappear on Henry′s wedding day
He snuck up on Elizabeth
She'd scream and she′d faint
And Maria's limp body would end the town′s restraint
They'd chase him to a windmill
Where they set it ablaze
And let the flames consume the flesh
That was meant to decay

He's not a dreadful monster
He′s just misunderstood
Didn′t know he did bad
Didn't know what was good
And by the time he would find a little piece of mind
The whole village behind, his death warrant was signed
The sad, sad lonely story of
Frankenstein
