Unhinged Songtext
von The Covasettes

(This is my worst first date
We were supposed to be going to get sushi
But there was, like, a hurricane or whatever
So, I thought it would be better to do something, like, inside...)

I walk to meet you
Hoping that you look like
The same girl that′s been making me swipe right
The camera deceives
Is this the age-old story that we'd hoped for?
Your phone pings, you blink, you′re trying to unlock my door
I wave as you leave

Because you want it
You crave it
You chase it 'til you go insane
And when you get it
It's cold
As bitter as the morning rain
With mist in your eyes
You stay for the night
Then leave
Repeat

I hate to break it
The future′s not looking bright
Said I was giving more of a ′just friends' vibe
Did you ghost me?
Boo

Because you want it
You crave it
You chase it ′til you go insane
And when you get it
It's cold
As bitter as the morning rain
With mist in your eyes
You stay for the night
Then leave

Algorithmic love takes the fun away
Stale conversations go the same way
We could go for drinks at the same place
′Cause every bar in town knows my face

It's hardly like the movie scenes
′So, how'd you meet?'... ha
She swiped me right off my feet

Yet you stay the night
Then leave

Because you want it
You crave it
You chase it ′til you go insane
And when you get it
It′s cold
As bitter as the morning rain
With mist in your eyes
You stay for the night
Then leave
Repeat
Repeat

(you've got a new match)
