Shero Songtext

Shero Songtext
My daddy was my hero, a big man, in my eyes
The day the good Lord called him home
Was the only time, I ever cried
After he was laid to rest, mama stayed up, all night
Had a long talk, with the man upstairs
Rolled up her sleeves, took up the fight
Mama could′ve moved on
But there were too many children, holding her back
She could've been gone
There were mouths to feed
And mama saw to that
She taught love over need
Yes, love was the key
And mama,was my shero
She rose, above the hurt and pain
She rose, above the clouds, and the rain
She rose, she was the glue
That kept the family, from breaking in two
And mama, did you know?
You were my shero
I tried to grow up, way too fast
She knew right where I was bound
And with a firm hand, on my backside
And a lot of love, she slowed me down
She gave up everything, she owned
So, that we could have it all
Even though I′m a grown man now
In my eyes, she's ten feet tall
Mama could've moved on
There were too many children, holding her back
She could′ve been gone
There were mouths to feed
And mama saw to that
She taught love over need
Yes, love was the key
That′s why mama, is my shero
She taught love over need
Yes, love was the key
And mama, is my shero
She rose, above the hurt, and pain
She rose, above the clouds, and the rain
She rose, she was the glue
That kept the family, from breaking in two
And mama, did you know?
You are my shero
The day the good Lord called him home
Was the only time, I ever cried
