Herons Songtext
von The Ascending

Lights are on the run
Fading out as life is coming
Lay my body down
Hold my hand and break it as once
Take me to the clouds
Throw my bones to the ground
Take me with the floods
And wash away my sun

Fly me above the water
Your wings are mine before I′m gone forever
Herons ascending higher
Make me ride through the wind
With only silence in the end
You're shining on my way above

Tell me about the unknown
All of those places I will never go
That will be lost tomorrow
Make me ride through the wind
With only silence in the end
You′re shining on my way above

Away, away
Only feathers will remain
Keep me out of the earth
And I never will return

Keep me out
Help me out
Fly me out

Ascending to the sun
They'll keep you from the falling
One look upon us all
Come fly away with me

Your songs are blessed with colors
Eternal melodies are filling the air
The last ones of sky ascenders
Sprinkle all our memories
They will last through the years
The story's ending on a last goodbye

Away, away
Only feathers will remain
Keep me out of the earth
And I never will return

Lights are on the run
Fading out as life is coming
Lay my body down
Hold my hand and break it as once

Fade away
The last of I′ve ever known
Fade away
To the clouds
